Here in Nepal we are in the beginning of the monsoon season. It seems to rain intermittently. First there is heavy rain for three days, creating large puddles and making everyone hurry with their motorbikes or scooters into shelter, pedestrians splashing with their flip flops. Then it stops when the saturated clouds have emptied their load. Skies slowly clear and the next day there will be more sunshine by the hour.

I was told that if it doesn’t rain, the temperature will get higher and higher up to uncomfortable levels. What is considered still acceptable of course depends on who is talking, to us foreigners even the lower degrees cause severe sweating due to the high humidity. So I am happy with the rain, the easing of heat.
